Metric Tanged Inserts
The part number consists of:
1. The insert type
- TNM - free running metric
- TLM - self-locking metric
- CXM - reduced diameter metric
2. The nominal thread size
3. The nominal length.
Example: 
For strip feed inserts add the suffix 'SF'.
For Silver Plated inserts add the suffix 'S'.
For Dry Film Lubed inserts add the suffix 'W'.
For Cadmium Plated inserts add the suffix 'C'.
Unified Tanged Inserts
The part number consists of:
1. The insert type
- TNC - free running coarse thread
- TNF - free running fine thread
- TLC - self-locking coarse thread
- TLF - self-locking fine thread
2. The size designation
3. The nominal length
Example:
1/2-13 locking insert, 1.5dia length, the part number is:- 
For strip feed inserts add the suffix 'SF'.
For Silver Plated inserts add the suffix 'S'.
For Dry Film Lubed inserts add the suffix 'W'.
For Cadmium Plated inserts add the suffix 'C'.
